AFTER 27 years as both the Lower School Math and Reading Specialist at Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY, Hilleary is now providing tutoring and test prep in Manchester, VT. Hilleary quickly identifies her students’ learning profiles, makes a plan, and provides targeted instruction. Areas of expertise include reading comprehension and written expression for students in grades 2-12, and math concepts for students in grades K-6. AFTER 26 years at Darien Public Schools working as a Learning Specialist at both the middle and High School, Jamie is now providing tutoring, test prep, and consulting services in Manchester, VT.  Jamie teaches students in grades 6-12 and supports their growth in reading comprehension, written expression, executive function, and financial literacy. He also provides guidance with the college application process and recently completed a College Advisory program at UCLA. Jamie easily establishes a positive rapport with students and uses his deep knowledge of learning to teach a wide variety of students.

GRETEL grew up in Bedford, NY and now resides in Stamford, CT.  She achieved high honors at Bank Street College while earning a dual Masters degree in both special and general education at the elementary level.  Gretel has gained valuable classroom experience in private schools teaching a wide variety of learners, and she now teaches at Winston Preparatory School. She uses multi-sensory instruction to provide engaging and effective reading, writing, and math lessons for her young learners. Gretel is certified in both yoga and mindfulness techniques and uses this background to enhance the learning readiness of her students.

MARGOT is a lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT where she is a highly sought after tutor. She attended Greenwich Country Day, The Taft School and Middlebury College and is familiar with the rigor of competitive schools. After a successful career as an 18th century American Furniture and painting dealer with GKS Bush, Margot transitioned to education. For the last 20 years, she has worked with students from Brunswick, Greenwich Academy, Greenwich Country Day, Convent of the Sacred Heart, and Greenwich High School. Margot has developed many techniques to help older students grasp difficult concepts and internalize the executive function skills necessary for school success. She is quick to assess her students’ learning styles, and then customizes an approach  based on the student’s strengths. Margot’s positive and engaging personality, combined with her deep content knowledge, make her a highly effective tutor.
