AFTER 27 years as both the Lower School Math and Reading Specialist at the Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY., Hilleary is now providing tutoring and test prep in Manchester, VT. Hilleary quickly identifies her students’ learning profiles, makes a plan, and provides targeted instruction. Areas of expertise include reading comprehension and written expression for students in grades 2-12, and math concepts for students in grades K-6. She is devoted to educating the whole child, and strives to help each student develop the growth mindsets necessary for optimal learning. AFTER 26 years at Darien Public School working as a Learning Specialist at both the Middle and High School, Jamie is now providing tutoring, test prep, and consulting services in Manchester, VT. LIZ holds her Master’s of Elementary Education from Manhattanville College in NY. For over 30 years she has served as a learning specialist, consultant, teacher, and tutor in: Greenwich at Greenwich Country Day School; NYC at the Episcopal School and St. David’s School; and Atlanta at The Westminster Schools, Trinity Atlanta Speech School, & The Howard School. In 2007, Liz started her own educational consulting business, Forward Thinking Consulting. Additionally, she now offers tutoring, assessment, and consulting services in Manchester, VT. Liz provides elementary and middle school tutoring and educational services for children from 4-13 years of age. Her goal is to demystify the academic experience for the child and family. DRAWING from 5 years of middle and high-school math teaching experience, Clayton Vaughters offers individual tutoring for students in grades 7 through 12. Specializing in Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and SAT Math Prep, Clayton tailors each of his sessions to each student’s unique needs and abilities. He enjoys creatively finding new ways to articulate concepts through visuals, games, and interactive resources in order to engage his students. GRETEL grew up in Bedford, NY and now resides in New Canaan, CT. She achieved high honors at Bank Street College while earning a dual Masters degree in both special and general education at the elementary level. Gretel has gained valuable classroom experience in private schools teaching a wide variety of learners, and she now teaches at Winston Preparatory School. She uses multi-sensory instruction to provide engaging and effective reading, writing, and math lessons for her young learners. Gretel is certified in both yoga and mindfulness techniques and uses this background to enhance the learning readiness of her students.

EMILY attended the Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford, NY., followed by the St. Luke’s School, in New Canaan, CT. She graduated from Trinity College in Hartford where she tutored grades 2-5 at the Hartford Magnet School, and earned her degree in Political Science. After college, she lived in Venice, Los Angeles for six years, where she was a grant writer for UCLA, and a tennis coach at The Crossroads School in Santa Monica. While coaching, she developed ways to motivate student athletes to stay on top of a very rigorous academic curriculum. She earned her 300hr. RYTT in Odaka Yoga and enjoys teaching private classes. Emily understands the demands placed upon students and is intuitive about how to best support them. Students of all ages respond positively to her warm and encouraging personality.
